Harrogate magistrates heard that Dennis Capstick, 46, imported gay porn films
from the US and sold copies for a profit of £3 each.
Captick's practices had been monitored by the Medicines and Healthcare Products
Regulatory Agency, who then reported him to the North Yorkshire Trading
Standards Department.
Captrick was convicted with nine counts of offering unclassified videos for
sale, and also for breaking rules that only per permit porn to be sold via
licensed sex shops.
He made a reported £17,000 from sales in eight months before his home in
Harrogate home was raided.
